TRIFONIADA
Spring is around the corner and Zlatograd is beginning its string of hosted events with the annual Trifoniada - a celebration of wine. Locals and aliens participate in a competition for the best homemade wine under the rhythms of national songs and dances. A Dionisys circles the Old Town pouring wine to go along with the freshly grilled meat sold at the stands. A somellier is hard at work judging the wine entries. It's sunny but cold - it's still Februrary - who can feel the cold when the hearts are warm with wineful joy?
