The Tiguan II
It wasn’t so long ago when the Tiguan used to be that small SUV women would pick when they wanted a more compact vehicle with a higher driving position that would fit everything and still be easy to handle in an urban environment. These days with the sweet compact SUV spot handled by the T-Roc, the Tiguan has grown up. It’s looking more serious, it’s wider, more spacious and begging to be taken for an off-road spin. It still does perfectly fine as an urban car but once you’re behind the wheel you just want to pack that huge boot full and hit the road. Did I mention that huge boot? As someone driving a bootily challenged car, I most definitely appreciate having ample space for gear and shoes. Not having to choose between lenses or between cute heels and comfy flats certainly has its charm. Not to mention you can make the odd delivery run for your business if necessary. I’m aware most people may not quite need that last feature but I love an extra layer of usefulness the same way I love having a small screw driver next to my lipstick - it comes in handy when you least expect it. Though not the most recent edition, this Tiguan still has enough infotainment to assist and entertain and it even features that elusive rSAP module which lets you use the sim card of your phone remotely, boosting your call signal in remote areas with the Tiguan’s antenna and causing your mobile phone to have a crisis of consciousness in the process as not every mobile phone is built to share itself quite so fully. Apple users in particular will never see that option and are better off sticking to Car Play. Are you sold on a Tiguan? This one happens to be for sale :)
