OSTROW TUMSKI (WROCLAW II)
I ask thee, dear reader, how many contemporary locations do you know that have their own gas man? Ok, that came out wrong, let me try again. How many places do you know that have their own cape-wearing lamplighter? Wroclaw’s Ostrow Tumski, the Cathedral Island which is the oldest part of the city is one such place. Busy at dusk with rounds of foot, scooter and golf cart mounted tourists, Ostrow Tumski glows beautifully in its Medieval charm. Don’t worry about finding the lamplighter - you may not see him initially but the crowd around him is easily visible from far away. Roam around and you will not be disappointed!
