MESTA
Ever felt like experiencing true medievalness? Mestá is your place. Narrow cobblestone pathways give way to tiny stone passages, beautifully decorated wooden doors open up to steep staircases leading you up, tiny windows shaped to allow gunfire out peak through at every corner and you better have good relationships with the locals because the design of the town allows for items to be thrown from rooftops at unwelcome intruders very successfully in times of turmoil. Nowadays though both locals and cats are extremely friendly and will even often offer you a personalised tour of town. I am talking about Vangelis the cat of course, he is the most experienced tour guide in town. Follow him and you may find yourself visiting some rather inconspicuous corners of the settlement after dark. Be prepared with a flashlight and an extra dose of courage because trust me - the heebie-jeebies await!
