If you felt curious about Cossack culture, no place would be better to explore than Novocherkassk. Every year the town hosts a festival to celebrate Cossack culture and tradition. Dressed in military uniforms and national attire, smiling locals sing and dance throughout the town. Stands with tasty regional delicacies line up the streets – where else could you try a pickled watermelon? And if the entertainment in town is not enough, you can always head to the open field horse races nearby for more.
