Downtown
Having just been greeted by Canada’s Bubbleville suburbia, I found myself eager to also explore the other side of things - the hectic Toronto downtown. Hectic it was! Cars, trucks, pedestrians, runners and bikers hurry in between the skyscrapers and move with the ease of that special wind circling the blocks. Speaking of that special wind - it seems like in recent years it’s even more special as cannabis has been legalised and cannabis shops are now enjoying the same street frequency as stag shops. All you need to do is cross over a rainbow walk and you’ll find one - if you even need to as the smoke is so dense you’re easily walking over all sorts of rainbows by simply passing by. I found most people to be talking to themselves - some because they were having a detailed conversation with their headphones, some because they were offering a free Bible or a Quran (to people who didn’t already have one), some simply because they had a different view of the world they wanted to share out loud. By the end of my photo stroll I was pretty sure I was beginning to hear voices myself. I wonder what the cause may have been...
